How is EC refund different from the COVID-19 rebate?
EC refund is the difference between what you paid when you last renewed your current insurance policy, and the new, lower cost of EC.
COVID-19 one-time rebate is for customers who had an active policy from April 1, 2020, to Sept, 30, 2020. During 2020-21, there were fewer reported collisions and lower claim costs, resulting in higher-than-expected income.
