BM changes so that baby gets exactly what he/she needs at the right time. For the first few days after birth, your breasts make colostrum (thick, yellowish form of breast milk). Colostrum is full nutrients and antibodies that your baby needs in the first few days of life. In 3 to 4 days, the colostrum gradually changes to breast milk.
