Who is the School Psychologist?
A type of co-teaching in which both teachers teach the same material to two equal groups of students.
What is parallel teaching?
Provides ongoing assistance and servicesas individuals learn how to obtain competitive employment.
What is upported employment?
A type of observation recording system that is used if time is an important factor in the observed behavior.
What is duration and latency recording?
A concept that requires schools with disabilities as much as possible with peers ho do not have disabilities.
What is least testrictive environment?
Provides information on students' communication abilities.
Who are speech and language clinicians?
A type of co-teaching model that is used when teaching material that is difficult, but not sequential.
What is station teaching?
Performs many different functions including assessing employment and vocational skills.
Who is a job coach?
A narrative of the events that took place during an observation.
What is an anecdotal record?
A principle that seeks to provide opportuities, social interactions and expeiences that parallel those of society to adults and children with disabilities.
What is normalization?
Serves as a liason between home and the school.
Who is the Social Worker?
A co-teaching model in which one teacher works with a smaller group or individual while the other teacher works with a larger group.
What is alternative teaching?
Offers a range of services and activites to help all students make the transition to work and post-secondary education.
What are career education programs?
Is designed to address the student's behavior by changing the classroom environment to better accomodate the student's characteristics, strengths, interests, relationships, and cultural and language background and challenges.
What is a behavioral intervention plan?
These two acts require that students with disabilities be educated with students without disabilities to the maximum extent possible.
What are IDEA and Section 504?
Provides services to students with fine and gross motor challenges.
Who are occupational and physical therapists?
A logical relationship among the curriculum, learning goals, teaching materials and strategies.
What is congruence?
An inclusive community-based learning program where students perform and reflect on activities that foster learning and benefit the community.
What are service learning programs?
Changes in classroom events, environment and stimuli that precede behavior.
