We will be organizing leader retreats & Black Friday actions this fall. Because of the Delta variant we will not be able to travel as expected. What are the adjustments we have planned to make?

Leader retreats will be hosted online/virtually and we will focus on organizing distributed Black Friday actions where staff are based and where leaders are concentrated in a region.

We are currently undertaking our campaign development process. We are growing our campaign committee to play a central role in shaping our campaign. Currently we have 6 leaders on the committee - name 2 of 5 states that committee members are from.

Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Maryland, and New Jersey.

Our team regularly employs the tool of surveying in getting a pulse on Walmart Associates experiences. We launched a paid time off & leave survey in June. So far how many surveys have we collected?

The CA Walmart organizers work with state-based coalitions to address key issues affecting workers across sectors more broadly. What is the one issue they are working to develop legislation on?

Anti-retaliation. The CA team is also layering how they engage workers on retaliation in combination with health and safety issues at work.

We are preparing to recruit and relaunch the WorkIt app’s Expert program. Describe 2 key responsibilities of WorkIt Experts.

1. Research Walmart policy, 2. Answer associate questions that come through the portal, 3. Support a worker who is navigating Walmart’s policies and/or wants to take individual action, 4. Initiate organizing conversations with workers and/or pass them off to an organizer
