Loop diuretics and demeclocycline

First check blood glucose then give 15gm of fruit juice, repeat blood glucose in 15 mins
What is treatment for hypoglycemia?
Sudden stopping of glucocorticoids
What is Addisonian crisis?
hypovolemic shock, fever, hypotension, weakness, abdominal pain
What is Addisonian crisis?
Urine specific gravity <1.005, tachycardia, thirst, high urine output
What is the manifestations of DI?
Get the correct meter strips, anemia can alter results, good blood sample, clean meter after use
What is patient teaching on glucometer?
Teaching patient to eat more protein and vitamins A and C
What education is used to prevent infection of Cushing syndrome?
Give rapid IV replacement, IV prednisone
What is Addisonian crisis treatment?
Vasoprssin- DDAVP
What is the treatment for DI?
Flush the IV tubing before attaching to IV site, put on infusion pump, stop after the first dose of SQ insulin
