EF Scale (Enhanced Fujita Scale); EF5
Explain the water cycle in detail with all the terms.
The sun's energy warms the water causing it to evaporate into the air. When the water vapor cools, the water droplets cool and collect together to form clouds (condensation). When the droplets get heavy, it precipitates down to the earth as rain, snow, sleet, or hail and runs down the mountains into a body of water, known as accumulation or collection.
What does numbus, cumulo, strato, alto, and cirro mean?
nimbus-rain, cumulo-fluffy, strato-layers "blanket, alto- above or high, cirro, feathery or wispy
How does precipitation fall to earth?
the clouds get heavy with water droplets and it falls
Why is it useful to predict the weather patterns? Give 3 reasons.
To know what to wear, to schedule events, to know how to prepare for dangerous weather, etc.
