What is an argument?

This is the structure of written or spoken language. It refers to the parts of speech and how they combine together to form sentences.

A sentence that states the topic and purpose of your paper.

The types of sources you should use in your final paper.
This is the purpose of an argumentative paper.

The site you can go to for any citations questions.
What is Purdue Owl?
This refers to the rules of the written language, such as capitalization, punctuation and spelling.

You could end your conclusion paragraph with this to leave your reader thinking about your argument.
What is a question?
These are organized collections of computerized information or data such as periodical articles, books, graphics and multimedia that can be searched to retrieve information.
What are research databases?
This is a literary device used in argumentative writing, where one acknowledges a point made by one’s opponent. It allows for different opinions and approaches toward an issue, indicating an understanding of what causes the actual debate or controversy.
What is a concession statement?
If there are 3 or more authors, you should use this after the first authors name (for both in-text citations and the Works Cited page).
This occurs when two or more independent clauses (also known as complete sentences) are connected improperly.
