They wanted to ensure children had every opportunity to express their views in matters affecting them and for those views to be taken into account. The team then assigned mentor-mentee roles to each educator. The team then engaged in reflective discussions related to improving all quality areas and created a visual QIP that all children, parents and school staff were also engaged in.

This service then implemented a children's leadership program had older children created an induction program for new children, and lead sporting programs. After reflection, the service then decided not to nominate only older children to be leaders, but all year levels. In response, children then nominated others to be leaders.
