This is when someone is usually working, and their job helps to pay for care.
Insurance
This person coordinates, manages, and provide skilled nursing care. This includes giving medications prescribed by a physician and special treatments.
Registered Nurse
This person identifies disorders, addresses factors involved in recovery, and develops a plan of care to meet goals. They also tech exercises to help the resident improve or overcome speech problems. They also evaluate a person's ability to swallow food and drink.
Speech- Language Pathologist
this is 24- hour skilled care given in hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers
Acute Care
This is a federal health insurance program that was established in 1965 for people aged 65 or older. It also covers people of any age with permanent kidney failure or certain disabilities.
Medicare
this person gives medications and provides treatments.
Licensed Practical Nurse
This person assesses a resident's nutritional status and develops a treatment plan to improve health and manage illness. They create diets to meet resident's special food needs.
Registered Dietician
this is care provided in a person's home.
Home care
this is a medical assistance program for people who have a low income, as well as for people with disabilities. It is funded by both the federal government and each state.
Medicaid
This person diagnoses disease or disability and prescribes treatment
Medical Doctor
This person determines resident's needs and helps get the support services, such as counseling and financial assistance
Medical Social Worker
this is care for people who need some help with daily tasks such as showering, eating, and dressing. Help with medications may also be given. People who live in these facilities do not need 24-hour care.
Assisted Living
This payor has 4 parts- Part A which helps pay for hospital and skilled nursing facility or care from a home health agency or hospice. Part b- helps pay for doctor's services and other medical services and equipment. Part C allows private health insurance companies to provide Medicare benefits. Part D helps pay for medications
Medicare
This person evaluates a person and develops a treatment plan. Goals are to increase movement, improve circulation, promote healing, reduce pain, prevent disability, and regain or maintain mobility
Physical Therapist
This person plans activities for residents to help them socialize and stay active.
