The process for programming lights and sounds into the boards during tech week.

The place where lighting and sound boards live.
What is the control booth?
The department that does promotions and advertising for a production?
What is PR & Marketing?
The theme or morals of a play. What the playwright wants the audience to take away.
What is idea?
The piece of equipment that when lit different ways can hide or show what is behind it.
What is the scrim?
The process of discussion character work and analyzing the script before blocking.
What is tablework?
The frame of the stage.
What is the proscenium arch?
The person who is the liasion between all teams - production, admin, tech and actors. They keep notes, provide communication and when the show opens they become in charge of the show and calling cues.
What is the stage manager?
The pattern of the words and how they are used in a play.
What is language (or) dialogue?
The person who supervises the electricians and maintains the lighting equipment in a theatre.
What is the master electrician?
When the director, stage managers and designers go through the script to mark when cues will occur.
What is paper tech?
The neutral backdrop upstage (fabric or hard material) that can be a background and be lit.
What is the cyclorama?
The person who does research for a production to provide context and history.
What is the dramaturg?
The word the defines the visuals and sounds of a play (set, lights, costumes, sounds, etc.) as the audience is watching.
What is spectacle?
