General eligibility requirements include that you have financial need, are a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, and are enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program at your college or career school.

Funding is dependent on grant eligibility requirements and availability. Funding is not guaranteed.

It is a financial assistance is available students who are dealing with financial hardship resulting from an emergency, accident, or other unexpected critical incident that has a direct impact on their academic success.
What is WASFA?
The Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) is for people who don’t file a federal FAFSA application. If you have completed the FAFSA, you have already applied for federal and state financial aid and do not need to complete the WASFA unless your college asks you to.

Who should apply for WASFA?
A person should complete the WASFA if they are undocumented or do not qualify for federal financial aid because of their immigration status. The WASFA can also be used in limited circumstances by other select applicants who cannot or choose not to file a FAFSA.
International Students are not eligible for federal student aid from the U.S. Department of Education.
