MArston believed that positive ideas such as women’s rights, can be taught to new generation of boys and girls through interesting materials like comics that show women as independent and courageous.

Both Rosie the Riveter and Wonder Woman were created to inspire women to be equal to men. However, Rosie was used to get women to join the workforce and support the troops but Wonder Woman was created to be a role model for girls to become strong women.
How might have taking away Wonder Woman’s superpowers and keeping Diana Price in the main role still be heroic to women’s rights?
Diana Price could still be a hero to women without superpowers by helping people and showing that women are capable of doing things in the real world.

Figuratively means- her comics, which showed feminism in a positive light, came at the right time when women were beginning to get more opportunities than before.

The slogan, “WONDER WOMAN FOR PRESIDENT” was a headline used in the 1970’s feminist magazine Ms. to feature Wonder Woman as a role model for women’s liberation movement by encouraging women to become more independent and inspire them to be more confident.

Women wanted to be acknowledged more for their abilities and be given opportunities to prove themselves in similar situations as men. In the school setting, students want to be given more opportunities to express what they want out of the school.

Propaganda was needed to get women to join the war effort because most of the women were ingrained with the idea that they could not work outside the house. Therefore, they needed a ‘push’ to help them overcome the stereotype and start working in predominantly male roles.
