All teachers should develop one of these. It should include: expectations, rewards/consequences, parent communication, and a measurement to indicate success.
What is a classroom management plan?
These must be up to date each week. All certified staff will indicate completion by initialing a sheet in the office after completing each module. Appropriate progress will be monitored by district staff and reported to the principal weekly.
What is LETRS training?
This must be available in the classroom at all times. It should contain important information about your classroom and emergency plans. An editable template is available in the staff handbook.
What are Sub Plans?
This method for obtaining supplies or money must be approved by the principal and the district prior to submission.
What are grants and crowd-funding?
This type of communication is best made in person or via phone call. Written word can be misconstrued and often leads to bigger challenges.

This team should be called only for complete classroom disruption or immediate safety concern.

Board Policy 7300 states that employees are required to report, in writing, to the Assistant Superintendent for HR if they are charged with one of these, within 24 hrs of the offense.

These should be offered and held with all parents during or just after the first nine weeks to discuss student progress, strengths, and needs. If parents are unable or refuse to attend, all attempts to reach them must be documented.

This is vital for insuring adequate supervision for all students as they arrive each day. It is also a basic professional responsibility.
