AND WHAT IT REPRESENTS

Synecdoche represents mass production, industrialization and consumerism.

500

Prince Ea narrating from the screen acts as a..

Focaliser

500

"three seconds"

"at a record pace. 1000 times the normal rate."

"shorter than a Vine video."

"the fourth second."

Time motif becomes a structural feature, recurring throughout the text in both spoken language (references to the three seconds and the urgency of the situation) and visually, when words come on the screen to refer to the three seconds but also when we see Prince Ea look at his fob watch to draw our attention to his references to time.

The becomes a skeleton around which all of his arguments are shaped – the analogy to our relatively short time on the Earth being his most important argument for us to stop what we’re doing and prioritise the Earth rather than our species.
