It was cold, rocky, and there were lots of trees. Because of the climate, they could not plant cash crops, so instead they chopped down trees and made boats, used their harbors for trading, and fished for money.

In great detail, describe the Stamp Act.

The Stamp Act was passed in 1765. The British Parliament started taxing all printed material (paper, playing cards, etc.) The Stamp Act was passed to help the British pay for the money they spent during the French and Indian War.

What was the Proclamation of 1763? What land border did the British use? Why were colonists upset?

The Proclamation of 1763 stated that after the French and Indian War, colonists were not allowed to settle in the new British land. The British used the Appalachian Mountains as a barrier. Colonists were upset because they felt like they deserved to move across the mountains if they won the land.

The Intolerable Acts were four acts that the British Parliament implemented to PUNISH the colonists for the Boston Tea Party. 

The colonists felt that these acts were unacceptable. They formed the First Continental Congress - and wrote a list of grievances to King George.

After the Treaty of Paris (1783), which border was used to determined what the United States owned vs. what the Spanish Empire owned?

The Mississippi River. The United States owned everything east of the Mississippi River, and the Spanish Empire owned everything west of the Mississippi River.

What was the climate of the Middle Colonies? How did they make money? What kind of people lived in the Middle Colonies?

The Middle Colonies had a moderate temperature. They made money through selling grain. That is why they were known as the breadbasket colonies.

There was a lot of religious and ethnic diversity in the Middle Colonies. Quakers lived there - and Quakers believed in equality for all.
