When an adult is speaking, what should a child do?
Listen to them. They are older and probably have important information to provide to keep you safe or instructions of what to do.
A girl in my class was on the playground and she was with her friends. I walked up and touched her without permission. What should the girl do?
She should first, tell you to not touch her without her permission because her body is private. Second, she should tell the teacher because you will need to be disciplined for not following personal boundary rules.
I do not like a person in my class, they are rude and think they are so funny. What should I do?
Decide not to be friends with them. Ignore them if they are being mean and tell the teacher. Be the bigger person.
What are mean words to say to somebody after they are speaking?
Shut up, I don't care, I don't know, Nobody cares, etc.
A boy in my class was being a jerk and making fun of my work. What should I do?
Tell him to not speak to you if he does not have anything nice to say. If he continues, walk over to the teacher and asked to be moved or for her/him to help you.
Somebody in my class always dresses in dirty clothes and eats gross food during lunch. What should I say to them?
Tell a teacher if you think a child isn't being taken care of at home. Ask them what kind of food they are eating and possibly share your snacks with them! Making fun of somebody for something they can't control is bullying.
When is it okay to interrupt somebody when they are speaking?
Usually never, unless there is an emergency and you or somebody else needs help.
My parent wants me to put my toys away, but I am in the middle of playing and I do not want to leave. What should I do?
I should listen to my parent. He may need me to help set the table for dinner, do my chores, or he may want me to take a break from my game so that I don't play for too long.
There is a boy in my class who isn't very smart and keeps getting answers wrong. What should I do?
Offer to explain the material to him! Offer to help him understand the topic better if you are doing well!
When I want somebody to listen to me, what should I do?
Make sure that person(s) is not speaking with somebody else or busy doing their own work. Ask if you can ask them a question or tell them something, and then say kind words or be polite.
My teacher said I keep interrupting the class and causing a disruption. I keep getting reports home from school that I am not listening to her in class. What should I do to be a better student.
Try my best to remember that other students aren't there for me to talk to or play with. They are there to learn. The time to talk and play is during recess or during any breaks the teacher gives us in class.
A girl on the play ground got pushed down by another student. What should I do?
Help her up and make sure that she is okay. If she is hurt, take her to the teacher or get her help. Stand up to her.
When somebody isn't listening to me, what should I do?
Do not keep interrupting them. Wait until it is your turn to speak and then politely ask if you can tell them a story, ask them a question, or do something else.
How do I make my bad behavior better?
I learn from my mistakes. When somebody tells me to stop and do something, I do it. When somebody tells me I was being mean, I apologize and try to make it up to them.
If somebody in my class is really shy, quiet, and doesn't seem to have made many friends this year, what should I do?
Walk up to them and ask them to play with you. They could be too nervous to make friends and may be really fun to play with once you talk to them!
