DegreeWorks is a BIG checklist that shows you which classes you need to take to graduate. It shows you classes you have completed, classes you are currently enrolled in, and classes you still need to take.

It can be accessed through AU Access.

What is Tiger Scheduler and how do I access it?

Tiger Scheduler allows you to make mock schedules with the classes you'll register for. You can favorite the schedules you'd like to prioritize for registration and make as many backup schedules as you'd like.

You can click the button, "get this schedule," at your advising time, enter the pin, and it will automatically register you for available classes.

How do I schedule an appointment with my academic advisor through Advise Assist?

There is a big blue button at the top right that says "Make an Appointment." Once you click on that, click on the button that says "Meet With My Success Team," and find the advisor you're looking to meet with. (If you are involved in on-campus organizations, your other advisors will pop up here. This could include your honors advisor and major advisor).

What is a registration pin, and how do I get one?

You will get a registration pin after meeting with your academic advisor. After your meeting, they reset your pin (typically to 111111), and you are assigned a registration time. When you register, you use this pin to log in.

When my advisor says to take a "core" class, such as a humanities core, what does this mean, and how do I access my options?

Core classes are those that are not major-specific. A certain number/type (based on major) are required to graduate.

Navigate to the "Undergraduate Minors" page on the Auburn website. They are listed alphabetically, by college.

How can I apply for scholarships?

Access AUSOM through AU Access, and log in. Search key terms (ex. "hearing sciences") to see which scholarships you are eligible for.

I forgot when I scheduled my advising appointment for, how can I check this?

What is a CRN?

A CRN is a code given to each class that is needed for registration. Tiger Scheduler will automatically input these into the system to register you if you use the "Get This Schedule" button during your assigned time slot.

How do I change my major?

Schedule a new meeting with your advisor in the college your new major is in. They will have you fill out a Change of Major Form, and it will get approved by the Dean of the college.

How many credit hours do I need to be a full-time student? Why is this number important?

12. Fulfilling these hours is important so that you qualify for financial aid, scholarships, etc.

What are holds on my account?

Holds prevent you from registering for classes. They can be classified as financial, housing, and medical. Once you address the issue at hand, the hold goes away and you are able to register again.

I want to change my major and need to email an academic advisor, but I'm not sure who to email. How do I find out who to contact?

1. Find out what college the new major is in

2. Access that college's page on Auburn's website

3. Navigate to that college's faculty page

4. Under advisors, find which one matches up with your criteria.
