One of my favorite childhood memories, is waking up early in the morning, to the smell of mom baking in the kitchen. My sister, and I loved to watch The Macy’s Day Parade. (still a tradition)

I could not wait for early afternoon, I knew that is when we would head over to my grandparent’s house, with all of my cousins, and family gathered together. Us kids, would watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

Morning starts off with the music playing from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Food starts to be cooked

All inside decorations get pulled out

Watch the Macys Parade while putting up decorations

Snack on homemade breakfast biscuits (egg, sausage, ground up bacon, peppers, onions, chopped scallions, cheese and a lot of spices)

After that it is back to work with more decorating and checking in on the food

Dinner is around 3pm, and family starts coming by for plates of food.

Around 6 pm clean up from all the food starts.

By 8 we are looking at all the shopping deals and make a plane to go out and get what is needed.

Bed by 10pm after a long day.

I have continued the tradition started by mom of inviting my aunt and cousin (and their family) for dinner. My mother always had them, and I wanted to continue this tradition in her legacy.

That one tradition that I have its that I make thanksgiving at home- it is usually just me and my fiancé and the kids sometimes we may have our friends here but mainly it is usually just us- I personally enjoy doing all the cooking and preparing myself

My favorite memory is 21 years ago when my little sister was born on thanksgiving. It was a very exciting day and we still tease her to this day that she is the reason the turkey was burnt that year :)

With the thanksgiving holiday approaching I have been filled with gratitude for all that Key has to offer me with moving to Cleveland, meeting amazing people, doing really cool work, and building these teams. Because of being here in Cleveland, I have had the ability this week to see old friends, to accidentally run into family while at an event, and catchup with other friends nearby in Erie. That wouldn’t happen if I hadn’t been offered the opportunity at Key. So, thank you all for being such a wonderful part of my life!

We have dinner at 12-1 typically. We all would gather at my great Grandma’s. We would have over 30 people fit into her living room :)

My family is very traditional for the holiday. Turkey and all the standard sides. My sister and I used to go shopping later in the evening to catch some Black Friday deals, but now we shop online. I do miss the instore shopping tradition!
