why does David need to leave chevron? why cant he establish the capital of his kingdom there?

1) Since David is now the clearly crowned king of all of Bnei Yosroel, he must move to a location that isn't connected to any particular tribe. The chevron belongs only to Yehuda and is clearly associated with the Shevet Yehudah. (VBM)

2) According to Shmuel Hanavi, Yerushalayim will be the location of the Bais Hamikdash and the final home of Jewish kings. (Sofrim Daas)

3) Yerushalayim is located in a more central location; a king should, in theory, establish his capital there.

Why was Yerushalayim not captured by Yehoshua together with the rest of the land?!

Yehoshua's life's work was to conquer and rule Eretz Yisroel, leading to the most important part of the area, Yerushalayim. He put off doing this task since he knew that as soon as he was done, he would pass away. This did not sit well with Hashem, who had him killed regardless, leaving Bnei Yisroel without success.

why was it said "blind and lame"

"This city is so sturdy and so strong, that even if we just sent the blind and lame we'd still beat you," said the king, putting blind and lame people above the wall.

The king, who believed Bnei Yisroel to be Rachmanim, put blind and lame individuals in front of the soldiers to serve as human shields. (Similiar to Chammas of today.)

Yitzcak is blind, and Yaakov is lame. The Yevusim & Yitzcahk & Yaakov had a documented peace contract formed between their ancestor Avimelech. You cannot fight us because of the pact we signed with your blind and lame people, they were saying. Why does David not find this to be an a warning? A) The peace deal fell out. (They only made this commitment till the generation of great grandchildren.) B) The Yevusim, formerly known as the Plishtim, violated their end of the deal years ago, making the agreement invalid.

why is david marrying more now?

Now that he had secured his place on the throne, David wanted to start growing  his family in order to make sure he was able to create the greatest son who would carry on in this role after his death. The more children he had, the more likely it was that one of them would make a worthy inheritance.

Who volunteers to be the first to go fight the Yevusim? What does David promise will be that person’s reward?

We can find the answer in Divrei Hayamim (a sefer which repeats many of the stories in Nach.) the answer is
