They are the most important organs of the respiratory system and are the site of gas exchange between oxygen and carbon dioxide in the bloodstream.

A general term for any point in the body where two bones connect, and allow movement without friction.
What is a joint?

What are blood vessels?
A type of connective tissue which reduces stress at load-bearing joints like the knee or hip, and provides structural support for other body parts like the rib cage and outer ear.
