Who are authorized to possess firearms on property.

Only authorized law enforcement and state certified AHWFB Security personnel are authorized to possess firearms on property. Law enforcement personnel with appropriate jurisdiction are authorized to possess weapons (as defined by agency standards) on Medical Center property. Law Enforcement Officers are responsible for their weapons at all times while on Medical Center property. 

During non-emergent circumstances law enforcement officers are not allowed to carry weapons into designated Behavioral Health Units. As possible, all armed law enforcement personnel will be identified by Security Services when on property.
