Emergency Showers/Eye washes need to be inspected weekly. This includes running them for a minimum time to ensure stagnate water is flushed from the pipes.

Hold them open with your fingers and move your eye around such as looking at a finger moving in different directions during a concussion evaluation.

How would one properly store tools?

In a proper location which protects it from exposer to getting dirty, harm from falling or being struck by something else. Also, which protects one from being struck by or tripping over it.

Ensure that it is cleaned with the power source removed from it to eliminate accidental start up.
