What must students do with electronic devices during class?
Leave all tech in the locker room! Including cell phones and headphones!
How many points can a student earn each day for being prepared and participating?
10 points.
What should students with health concerns like asthma do before class?
Notify their teacher of the condition.
What must students do with their belongings in the locker room?
Secure belongings at all times in their OWN locker.
Are blankets allowed out during PE?
No they must be put away and left in the locker room.
How many restroom passes do students receive per semester?
8 restroom passes. (Student will receive 5 extra credit points at the end of the semester per unused restroom pass)
How many points are deducted for each of the first four non-dress days?
4 points.
Where should students keep their inhalers or medication?
With them or in the school office.
Who is responsible for lost or stolen items?
The student who did not lock their locker. SVHS is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
How much time do students have to change, go to the restroom, and meet at the instructional area?
5 minutes.
What is not allowed in the gym and locker room?
No food, drink, candies, sunflower seeds, or gum; only water in a resealable bottle.
What happens to your points after a student has four non-dress days?
5 points will be deducted for each subsequent non-dress day.
What must be on file for students with asthma?
A current “Emergency Medical Card”.
What type of shoes are required for PE class?
Appropriate sport shoes for indoor and outdoor activities; no ballet flats, boots, sport sandals, or flip-flops. (Make sure that you have an indoor and outdoor pair of shoes)
Why must you bring your water bottle out with you before attendance is taken?
Locker rooms will be locked and no one will be permitted to go in until the end of class.
What happens if a student does not comply with the no electronic devices rule?
Student will be sent to the office and their parent will be contacted.
What is required for a student to make up for an excused absence?
An exercise will be completed for every missed day on a Bi-Monthly make-up day.
What should students do with their gym clothes each week?
Take them home to be washed.
What type of clothing is not allowed in PE class?
No tank tops, ballet flats, boots, sport sandals, flip-flops, or jewelry that could lead to injury.
What should a student provide if they are unable to participate in class?
A signed parent note or doctor’s note.
What behavior is strictly prohibited to promote a safe environment?
Horseplay and excessive touching
How many points are the miles worth?
5 points.
What type of jewelry is not allowed during activities?
Jewelry that could lead to injury or interfere with activity (watches, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.).
What color options are approved for PE shirts and shorts?
Blue, black, white, silver, or gray, free of any text and/or design.
What must the student do if they go on STIS (Independent Study)?
Their make-up assignment will be posted on Google Classroom and must be completed BEFORE they return back to school.
