Why does the school give you an IPad?
To use for school work and communication within school approved apps for clubs, teachers and guidance counselors.
Why is there red tape on the floor in every room?
This is our safe area if we need to hide away from windows and doors.
School polo with logo and shorts with logo, they may not be rolled up or ill fitting.
Who decides what consequences a student gets for violations of the code of conduct?
The deans, principal and associate principals all can assign and enforce consequences.
What do you do if you are tardy to class?
report to the office for a tardy slip
Where do cell phones belong in our classroom?

What is a lockdown? What do we do?
It means there is a situation inside the school are nearby and we must stay in the classroom. The teacher will shut off lights and cover the window. You go quietly to the red zone area and wait withOUT making any noise. We wait for the all clear code to be given before we return to our normal day.
What can I wear if I am cold during school?
A school sweatshirt or jacket that was purchased through school. No hoodies!

8:00AM-11:00 AM
How many times can you be tardy before given a consequence?

Can you call or text your parents from your cell phone during the school day?
No, if you need to contact them you can use the school phone in the front office. Explain this to them tonight so they understand, you do not want your phone taken.
Will you know when we are doing any type of drill?
No, drills are more effective when we do NOT know if they are drills or real. We do know we will do practice drills the 1st and second week of school, the dates and times will be a surprise and any drill after that is a surprise. Do NOT ask when they will be and teachers should not tell you when they will happen.
What do I do if I forgot my ID?
Go to the front office and get an orange sticker to wear on my shirt.
How many detention options are there? What are those options?
3:Tuesday/Thursday, Friday and Saturday Mornings
Why does the school care about you being absent or tardy?
Because you are missing learning time and our job is to educate you!
How is responsible for your IPad? What does this mean?
You and ONLY you, do not leave it on the floor, do not get it wet, do not lose it or break it!!!!
What do we take with us during a fire drill?
NOTHING, your phone and belongings stay inside the room.
Crocs, Slippers, flip flops, what do these all have in common?
They are shoes you CANNOT wear to school.
Teachers do NOT have to allow you to make up work as this is an Unexcused absence.
They should notify the school by 9:00AM on the day of the absence and MUST report within 2 days or it will be UNexcused.
Who can take your phone and when/why?
Any staff member if you are seen on it, holding it in the hallways or it rings/vibrates/lights up disturbing the learning in the classrooms.
What is the fire drill procedure?
You must walk out with your class and make a single file line with your teacher when you get outside, he/she will take attendance, you will walk back inside in a single file line with your teacher, NO talking during this time. When you get to the door you will hold up your ID so admin can see it, if you do not have your ID you will not be let back in and will have to go to the office.
