Johnson's plan consisted of components of Abraham Lincoln's Plan. He ratified the thirteenth amendment which freed the slave. It also focused on not forgiving the Southern elite. In the end it was very unsuccessful.

What is the Purpose of this Image
Something Along the Lines: The purpose of this painting is to show Western Expansion and Manifest destiny. It shows that as settlers move West they are bringing good and clearing the darkness or old ways. The angle is leading the way for the settlers almost like it was their destiny to do so. It relates to Western expansion because it is showing the progression of the West and the eradication of the Native American way.
