Yes, guard all exits as they unlock/open = potentially letting residents out!
If a fire is confirmed, which residents do you help out of their rooms first?
Start from closest to the fire and work your way out. Also try to avoid crossing over the fire
what does R E A C T stand for ?
Remove anyone in immediate danger
Ensure doors and windows are closed
Activate the fire alarm
Call 911
Try to extinguish the fire safely
What are the red tags on the doors for?
To indicate if a resident is currently in their room or not. It tells us if we evacuated a room already. Tag down = resident in room. Tag up = resident removed from the room. So when we are evacuating it is important to to close the door behind us and put the red tag up.
