طَلَبتُ مِن أَبِي وأُمِّي أَن أَصُومَ يَومًا مِن رَمَضَان
i requested from my father and mother that i fast a day in ramadan
the boy felt thirsty after running
ظَمَأَ الوَلَدُ بَعدَ الجَريِ
بَاتَ
to spend the night
رَمَقَ
أَبصَرَ
قَدَّمَ
to give
وَدَعَت أُمِّي أَصدِقَائِي وَأَترَابِي لِلسُّحُورِ مَعِيَ فَبَاتُوا فِي بَيتِي
and my mother called my friends and my companions for suhoor with me so they spent the night in my house
it is sunnah to break your fast with a date
فَطرُ الصَومِ بَتَمَرَةٍ سُنَّةٌ
يَتَحَادَثُونَ

اِبتَلَتَ
تَشَرَّبَ
اِنتَصَفَ

وَقَدَّمَ لَه أَقَارِبُهُ هَدَايَا وَجَوَائِز
and his relatives give him gifts and rewards
serve your parents and earn their pleasure
أَخدِم وَالِدَاكَ وَاِكسِب رِضَاهُمَا
رَمَقَ

وَنُقِلَ الفُطُورُ إِلَى المَسجِدِ، وَكَانَ الوَقتُ شَدِيدًا عَلَيَّ فَكُنتُ أَرمُقُ المُؤَذِّنُ وَأَعُدُّ الدَّقَائِق
and the iftar was moved to the masjid, and the time was very hard on me and i stared at the مُؤَذِّنُ and i counted the minutes
a scholar has a high status in society
لِلعَالِمِ مَكَانَةٌ عَالِيَةٌ فِي المُجتَمِعِ
اِبتَلَتَ

half the night passed and i couldn't sleep
اِنتَصَفَ اللَّيلُ وَلَم أَقدِر أَن أَنَامَ
