Because of Earth's orbital pattern around the sun. As Earth moves around the sun, different constellations come into view.
If it is summer and Ms. Bradley is trying to see the constellation Orion and she doesn't see it. Why is this?
The Earth is not in front of that constellation. The Earth has to orbit in order for Ms. Bradley to see the constellation.
