These are the three principles of acquiring spiritual knowledge.
What are 1. Act in faith. 2. Examine concepts and questions with an eternal perspective. 3. Seek further knowledge through divinely appointed sources.
In these passages, Jesus and Moroni each tell us to do things to follow Jesus.

This principle guides us to Avoid unreliable sources that seek to destroy faith in favor of the light of Christ, the Holy Ghost, scriptures, parents, leaders, and prophets.

This principle involves relying on the testimony we already have and the things we already know until "all truth" is revealed in God's time.

A good reminder that even when following Jesus Christ seems hard, the alternative is definitely not better.
