Are you allowed to use AI for an assignment at DTS?
Yes, IF allowed by your teacher and properly cited.
No, they can only see what their child shows them.
How many credits do you need to graduate?
24 total credits
How much credit do you receive if you turn in a formative assignment late?
33%
What percentage of an individual class must you attend to pass that class?
70%
Who must attend Assembly and how often?
All DTS students are expected to Assembly every week (unless absent from school).
Are you allowed to administer your own prescription medication at DTS?
Yes
What is the minimum number of courses a DTS student must take per semester?

What is the grade for a summative assignment that is more than 5 days late?
After five days, late work is no longer accepted and will receive a grade of 33%.
How many times can a student be 15 minutes late in the same class before it is recorded as a missed class?
Three
Can DTS take action in response to the off-campus behaviors of DTS?
Yes, if they impact other DTS students.
How can you change your name and gender at DTS?
Official records require proof of changes. For unofficial records, DTS will use the name and gender by which the student identifies.
.5 credit in Health and 1.5 credits in Physical Education.
How are certain intensive grades different from normal class grades?
9th and 10th grade intensives are graded on a normal A to F scale while 11th to 12th grade intensives are graded by credit to no credit.
Why must you attend 70% of classes?
It's Washington State law
Can your freedom to leave campus be revoked?
Yes
Are there circumstances in which a DTS student would not have the right to confidentiality?
Yes. If a mandatory report needs to be filed, if a student is at risk of harm, if a student agrees to the release of information, and/or allows communication between DTS and an outside provider.
One credit can be any level, but one must be level 3 or higher.
What circumstances would trigger Academic Warning for a DTS student?
Two grades of C- or lower or 1 grade of D+ of lower, or 1 No Credit.
What constitutes an excused absence at DTS?
Illnesses, medical appointments, religious holidays, and approved school-sponsored activities.
What is the role of the Conduct Committee?
To determine (with the DoS) if DTS rules have been broken as well as any potential consequences.
Do DTS students have a right to confidentiality from their parents and/or guardians about aspects of their mental health?
Yes, if they are over 13.
