Fizzy, colourful and intricately plotted, this 2012 pop meta-fiction from The Simpsons' Rich Moore does for vintage arcade games what Who Framed Roger Rabbit did for the Golden Age of Animation.

The youngster target audience will probably love every minute of โ_______โ. I was with them to a point, but once the story abandoned the quest to find a master it bogged down and the humor grew inconsistent.

This 2012 animated fantasy misses the point of the widely acclaimed childrenโs story and buries its source material inside an anodyne and furiously vacillated framework. It is not simply poor quality entertainment; it is bad for your kids to watch it.

A graphic treat for sure, compared to crude graphic content such as in "Jumangi". The John Williams score really holds it all together. Love how the carnivores are the bad guys and the herbivores are the good guys. Reminds me of "The Dawn of Man" scenes in "2001: A Space Odyssey", also clearly written by a vegetarian or vegan. Love the raptor's foot tapping! I saw a sequel to this that was unwatchable; stick with the original.
