What roles did women and African Americans serve in the military and at home?

African American women served in military roles as mail carriers. Primarily white women served in the WASPS (Women Airforce Service Pilots). Women also served in manufacturing centers fulfilling jobs men typically held. 

African American men served in military roles as part of the Army Air Force (Tuskegee Airmen), in the Army as the Black Panthers, or given menial roles. African American men also worked in manufacturing centers.

Why did the United States government target Japanese Americans living on the west coast after Pearl Harbor, and relocate them inland?

There was fear that the Japanese Americans on the west coast would have allegiance to Japan. With major naval bases along the west coast, after the Pearl Harbor attack it was considered dangerous to keep Japanese people on the coast.

The Allies were mostly Democratic and fascist dictatorships controlled the Axis.
