What is the morse code?
The process of giving a computer instructions in a language it can understand. Also called "coding."
What is computer programming?
The height of a wave. Usually measured from the wave's resting point to the peak of the wave.
What is Amplitude?
When the disturbance moves perpendicular to the direction of the wave. Put simply: When a wave moves up and down.
What is transverse wave?
The place from which light originates.
What is light source?
To convert a code into something people can understand.
What is decode?
A series of instructions written by humans and followed by computers.
What is a computer code?
The distance between wave peaks. Usually measured from the peak of one wave to the peak of the wave next to it.
What is wavelength?
When the disturbance moves parallel to the direction of the wave. Put simply: When a wave moves forward and back.
What is longitudinal wave?
Surface from which the light bounces off.
What is reflecting surface?
A signal that can be sent through the air to send and receive information.
What is radio waves?
To send from one place to another.
What is transmit?
It makes things happen! (Or more formally: the ability to do work)

A darkened box used to project an image of an external object onto a screen inside. It works in the same way as our eyes.

The brains of electronic devices. They are often about the size of a coin and located deep inside our phones and computers. Microchips send and receive patterns that help our electronics work.

The highest point on a wave. Also called the crest.
What is wave peak?
Comes from things like the sun, light bulbs and candles. It bounces off of things and allows us to see.

A curved piece of glass or plastic that concentrates light rays. They are used in magnifying glasses and telescopes.
What is lens?
Tiny lights that make up the screens of our devices which can be turned on and off to form an image.

The ability to see. This is thanks to our eyes, which detect light that is reflected into them.
