Is it ok to give a camper a piggyback ride?
No! There is no reason to carry any of your campers! At Rounds Ranch there are wagons for Kindies if they need it.
What is the 2 Worker Rule?
2 Adults/Staff should always be present.
A camper says they don't want to go home. What do you do?
Tell your Section Coordinator or a Director. Do not gossip.

Who do you tell if you are worried about a camper?

Can you take a camper into the washroom?
No, you can bring them to the washroom but do not go in! Staff/LITs use the single use washrooms.
Can 2 LITs count as the two workers?
You cannot have 2 LITs alone with campers. You can have 1 LIT and 1 Staff.
You see bruises and the camper avoids adults. What now?
Tell your Section Coordinator and/or Directors
Sitting on your lap?
Nope! Kindies can cuddle up and sit super close, they may even want to hold your hand, that is ok!
How do you report suspected abuse?
Tell Directors, do not gossip.
Can you be alone with a camper behind a closed door?
No!
Can you take a camper into their clubhouse by yourself so they can get their waterbottle that they forgot?
You cannot go IN the clubhouse on your own. You can stand at the door, be sure you are visiable.
A Camper tells you a secret and says not to tell. Do you keep it?
Never tell a camper that you will keep their secrets.
Camper Hugs!
Side hugs only! Only hug a camper if there are lots of people around and they have initiated it.
Can you get in trouble for reporting something that concerns you? What if it ends up being nothing?
No! Reporting in good faith is always best!
