Ask nicely. If they say no (hopefully they don't) respect it. Then, return it in the condition you borrowed it.

What do I do if I was absent the day(s) before?
Check the absent bin and work on it when you finish something early, or during independent time. If it is something "big" let Ms. Benjamin know and we can figure out a time to work on it.
