Background: The incident that led to the curse occurred when Dasharath Raja was a young prince and renowned for his skill in Shabdabhedi Baan. This archery skill allowed him to hit a target based solely on the sound it made, without needing to see it.
During a hunting trip in the forest, Dasharath Raja heard a gurgling sound near the Sarayu river. Mistaking it for an elephant drinking water, he fired his arrow in that direction.
