It's a Psych
Primarily introduced by Carl Jung in 1913 as a counterpart to Freud's own concept, this is a psychoanalytic theory that refers to a girl's unconscious sexual desire for her father and feelings of inadequacy, jealousy, and resentment towards her mother. A girl, in summary, is believed by Jung to be in a psychosexual competition with her mother for her father's affection, developing early on in her life.
