What is the difference between mental health and mental illness?

Mental health is the overall mental wellbeing of oneself. Mental illness is a diagnosed mental condition that can affect things such as behavior and actions.

What is the difference between scheduled and non-scheduled drugs?

Scheduled drugs are highly regulated by the government due to their potential for abuse and dependence. Non-scheduled drugs are not regulated under the Controlled Substances Act and have lower chances of being abused.

LGBTQ+ people are diverse in preferences so it is best to ask what they need rather than assuming.

Withdrawal symptoms can be dangerous, can cause mental distress, body is dependent on substance.

What is death with dignity and the political views around it?

Death with dignity is when someone chooses to die while all cognitive function is intact. Some of the political views around this have to do with ethics, as these people are dying with help from physicians.

Provide services and support to active duty members, veterans, and their families.

Some government programs have such strict criteria and make their qualifications almost impossible to meet. They may also have monetary requirements set too low for most of the people who need them to actually meet.

Raise awareness, challenge discrimination, advocate for policy changes on both small and large scales.

Harm reduction are policies/programs that aim to reduces the negative impacts associated with drug abuse. Some examples are providing clean needles, providing spaces to be observed while taking drugs to prevent OD, and providing narcan for free.
