Story Time
Aakash is a great pianist, who fakes being blind to improve his piano skills. While crossing the street, he is knocked over by Sophie. Sophie takes care of Aakash and soon they begin an intimate romantic relationship. Sophie is impressed by Aakash's talent and gets him an engagement at her father's diner. At the diner, a retired actor, Pramod Sinha, notices Aakash and invites him to perform for his wedding anniversary.

Bad News
The film starts off when two photographers Makarand "Mac" Godbole and Shyam "Sam" Salganokar are doing a photo shoot. While Mac is shooting the models in exposing poses, his fiancée Anjali leaves in disgust due to Mac's closeness to the models. Their boss calls them into his office and tells them that they are good-for-nothing photographers. He threatens to reduce their pay if they don't get some good pictures for the world photography competition to make his magazine famous.

The movie begins with Ravi Verma winning a legal battle against Sir Judah who had unjustly usurped Ravi's father's wealth and property after his death. Ravi calls his mother to tell her the good news and that he is marrying his girlfriend Kamini, who unbeknownst to him is a gold-digger working for Judah. On their way home to Coonoor, Kamini rams Ravi over a cliff near a small temple of the Goddess Kali. Distraught at the sudden death of her son, Ravi's mother demands the Goddess allow her son to pay his mother's debt for dying prematurely, while Kamini inherits everything. Two decades later, Monty, an orphan raised by G.G. Oberoi, is a twenty-one-year-old singer who starts to have visions of Ravi's memories triggered by a tune that Ravi used to like.
