This is the scientific word for a push or a pull on an object.
Force
This is the measure of how fast an object is moving over a certain amount of distance.
Speed
f you are in a car that stops suddenly and your body jerks forward, you are experiencing this Law
What is the First Law (Inertia)?
This invisible force pulls all objects on Earth down toward the ground.
Gravity
If a car travels 100 miles in 2 hours, this is its average speed.
50 miles per hour
What is Newton's third law?
The Third Law says that for every action, there is one of these that is equal and opposite.
This force happens when two surfaces rub together, slowing down a moving object
Friction
How much force is needed to move a 5 kg bowling ball if it accelerates at 3 m/s²?
15 Newtons
What is Newton second law ?
F = ma
If two kids pull a rope with the exact same strength and no one moves, the forces are this.
Balanced force
If a toy car travels at a speed of 4 meters per second for 10 seconds, how far did it go?
What is 40 meters?
What are the 4 forces of a flight ?
Lift, Drag, Thrust and weight
This type of force is needed to make a soccer ball start moving from a standstill.
unbalanced
An object is pushed with 20 Newtons of force and accelerates at 4 m/s². What is its mass?
What is 5 kg?
What are three law of motions?
The Law of Inertia (1st Law): Objects are "lazy." If they are sitting still, they want to stay sitting still. If they are moving, they want to keep moving in a straight line forever.
The Law of Force and Acceleration (2nd Law): If you want to move something heavy (more mass), you have to push it much harder (more force).
The Law of Action and Reaction (3rd Law): Forces always come in pairs. If you push on a wall, the wall is actually pushing back on you with the exact same amount of force!
