Type of beta hydroxy acid that has antibacterial properties. It is also lipophilic, so it is able to digest sebum.
Salicylic Acid
Skin condition caused by actinic bronzing to the side of the face and neck. Treatment may involve a combination of melanocyte-inhibiting skin care, chemical peels, lasers and IPLs, consistent sunscreen protection, and avoiding irritants on the skin.
Poikiloderma of civatte
Caused by poor circulation in the lower legs that can creat a chronic inflammatory state. Legs may have ulcerations, along with scaly skin, itching and hyperpigmentation.
Stasis Dermatitis
Excessive perspiration due to an underlying medical condition. Menopause would be an example.
Diaphoriesis
This involves an abnormal secretion from the sebaceous glands. The inflammation from this condition can often be misidentified as acne. When this condition is located on the scalp it is called dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis.

Tretinoin
Also called pityriasis versicolor, is a fungal condition that inhibits melanin production. Not contagious because it is caused by yeast that is found naturally on the skin. Characterized by white, brown, or salmon-colored flaky patches
Tinea Versicolor
Chronic relapsing form of dermatitis. Irritants and allergens trigger reactions that include dry, cracked skin.
Atopic Dermatitis
Also known as prickly heat; acute inflammatory disorder of the sweat glands; results in the eruption of red vesicles and burning, itching skin from excessive heat exposure.
