No, they contain the equipment you need to effectively treat a wide range of serious blood loss injuries.
During an Active Assailant, what should be your first option?
If it's safe to do so, you should RUN away from the area.
What are other things you want to look for in a safe space during a severe weather event?
To stay away from doors, windows, and rooms bigger than a normal classroom.
How far away from a building should we be for an activated fire alarm? How far away from a building should we be for a report of a gas leak or a bomb threat?

In most every MC building in high traffic areas such as lobbies and hallways.

Move to the nearest room, lock, and barricade the door with tables, chairs, bookshelves. Anything possible and be prepared to fight.
What are some ways to stay aware of severe weather conditions?
Sign up for weather apps to stay informed. Also, pay attention to news and weather reports early in the day.
When should you call 911 when you are evacuating a building?
When it is safe to do so.
Do you have to opt in to be notified by MC Alert?
Yes...and, No. All students, staff and faculty receive MC Alert emails when they join the college. However, you have to go to the Public Safety website to add your cell number to receive texts.

Make a plan with others with you to FIGHT using a fire extinguisher, laptop, chair, trash can, etc.

WATCH: conditions make it possible for severe weather in or near the area. Know where to go and be prepared to move there. WARNING: Severe weather is imminent or one has been spotted. Seek shelter immediately.
Are you allowed to fight the fire?
Yes, but only fight a fire when you feel comfortable doing so, you know how to do so, and it is in the "incipient stage."
