IP is the internet protocol. It sends the data across the internet. TCP is the transmission control protocol and puts the data together and breaks it apart.

How does packet routing work?
Packets are sent across networks to a router. The router then finds the network that will send the packets the fastest and sends the packet along it to the next router. It repeats until it arrives to were it needs to go.
What is a client?
The device sending a request over the internet to a server.
What is an access point?
An access point is a checkpoint that devices need to go through to connect to the internet. The entrance for devices to connect to the internet.
