When people made Pound Cake, they used one pound of butter, one pound of sugar, one pound of eggs, and one pound of flour. In the past, when many people didn’t know how to read or write, this name made it easy for people to remember the recipe.

Every year, the town had a singing competition, and the town had some truly amazing singers. Marie wasn't one of them, but she loved nothing more than singing and performing.
