لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ"
“Whoever has an atom’s weight of arrogance in his heart will not enter Jannah”
What is the definition of Jealousy?
Jealousy (Hasad) is when a person desires that another person lose a blessing he or she has.
What should you if you start feeling jealous of someone?
Notice: “What am I feeling?”
Name the feeling: “I am feeling jealous of so and so”
Navigate: “What is the right way to respond?”
Make dua: Pray that the person keeps their blessing and ask Allah to give you something similar. This is called envy (ghibta), it means you want a good thing for yourself without taking it away from someone else.
Count your own blessings: Remember all the good things you already have.
Do something kind: Help or give a gift to the person you feel jealous of — it makes your heart happy and reduces jealousy.
What Hadith talks about anger?
A man asked the Prophet ﷺ : " What is the worst thing that one can earn from God?
The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah’s anger.
The man asked: How do we avoid it?
The Prophet ﷺ said: Do not become angry.
What is Arrogance?
Arrogance: is the act of taking credit for one's good qualities rather than recognizing them as gifts from Allah.
What should you do if you find arrogance in your heart? (List 3 at lease)
Remind yourself that any good quality you have is a gift from Allah, and it is only by His kindness that you have been given this blessing.
Remember that Allah can replace you with the very person you may be looking down upon.
Think of all the good qualities and things you can learn from the person you think you are better than.
Think about your own shortcomings and the areas in which you need to improve.
Always thank Allah sincerely whenever you receive a good grade, a compliment, or feel that you have done something well.
Remind yourself that if Allah had willed, He could have made you non-Muslim, given you different circumstances, or tested you in many ways.
