Explain Nat Turner's Rebellion and what was the result of this uprising.

Nat Turner believed God told him to end slavery, so he organized a group to kill all the slaveholders and their families in the area. He was able to escape but was eventually caught and hanged. As a result, slave codes were strengthened to make sure another uprising like this didn't happen.
