MY EXPERIENCE

Last semester, my school held an excursion to explore Labuan Bajo. It was a full day trip. Labuan Bajo is a hidden paradise situated in eastern Indonesia.We departed from school early in the morning so we could do many activities.

The first place we visited was Wae Rana beach. It is a small beach, located betweenBinongko beach and Wae Cecu beach. We enjoyed the sunrise there. Too bad,people were not aware of the cleanliness. Litter was everywhere. The sunrise was beautiful, though. After enjoying the sunrise, we had breakfast. After we finished our breakfast, we went shark diving. It was the first time for me to see sharks of all kinds. We could also see the underwater creatures, like bright coral, manta rays, turtles, seahorses, and fish.

In the afternoon, we had lunch . The food was delicious. We had our free time after lunch. Some of us took some rest, some others explored the place.

Our next activity was going to Rangko Cave. There, we had nature and wildlife tours . We enjoyed the beautiful cave shaped by nature. We also swam in the pool inside the cave. The water was so clear that you could see the rocks under water.

Before we went home, we went to Padar Island. We wanted to see the landscape in panoramic view, so we hiked for about 30 minutes to reach the peak. It was tiring, but the view was breathtaking. Padar Island is unique because it has several beaches with different colors.

Exploring Labuan Bajo with all the activities made me realize that our country is “a country of treasures”. I felt so happy that I could enjoy all the activities that the package offered.

After we entered the zoo, we went straight to enclosure for the polar bear babies. My brother and I were so excited to see them. They were so cute and playful.

At the lunchtime, my dad decided to buy pizza my favorite pizza was the one topped with meat, sausage, and cheese. Meanwhile, my brother ordered lasagna.

My brother was excited to see the shark and the tropical fish. There were also otters. They were so cute.

It was 9.30 a.m. thirty minutes, I had to teach a new English class. I read the list of new students’s name. it was a kiddies group since they were about 9 and 10 years old.

That was the first day of the Spanish carnival, so I wanted wear the most appropriate suit for the children’s class. Most kids usually dress up at carnival, I thought. It would be more interesting if their teacher was also in carnival spirit. That and bring  cuddy toys in my box.

That was what I did. I walked through the door happily. The director watch me completely astonished. I smiled and looked straight at her . with a man beside her, she said, “Good Afternoon. I’d like to introduce you to Mr. Mendez, the director of Delta company. He is one of the participants of the English course that you will teach today.”

Oh my God! I nearly died! the secretary apologized to me for the wrong details of my new class.

• Last month, one of my best friends, Lena, had an unforgettable birthday surprise. Lena was a good  friend to everybody in our class so that all of our class so that all of our classmate agreed to manage something special on her birthday.
• It was Wednesday, a week before the date. I and other friends started to arrange everything for Lena’s birthday  surprise . we started to tell all of our classmates about the plan secretly so that Lena had no idea about it. We even asked some teacher to help us working on it. During that week, I and my friend were busy handling this and  that.we had ordered birthday cake in her favorite color, decorated the classroom, made the cute costume for her, preparing the gifts, and so on. We planned to surprise her in the morning when she arrived to school and surprised her again in the afternoon after classes were  over. Everything had been so well-organized, so we waited until the day.
• On the day we had been waiting for. Everbody and everything were ready in their place. We waited for our birthday girl. We waited and waited. The clock kept ticking but Lena had not come yet. Until the class had to be started, Lena was not there. And of course. The mission failed. Everybody started to worry about Lena, moreover there was no information from teacher or her parents. When all classes were about to over, our headmaster came to our class and told us that Lena got an accident. Oh my God, we just couldn’t believe what we just heard. Some teachers got an idea to take us to the hospital where Lena was taking care of. However, not all of us could go there, it was only five students allowed , including me. In short, we finally saw Lena laid there on the hospital bed with bandage covered almost all of her left leg. We cried seeing her like that, but she smiled knowing us there. Then we gave her all gifts we have prepared before, led her blowing the candles on the birthday cake with a wish that she could surprise my best friend on her special day, although she successfully surprised me even more.

     After years, her waiting came to an end when a luxurious ship docked at the shore. A young couple in extravagant clothes stepped down from the ship. Malin’s mother was sure thet the young man was her son. She tried to embrace him, but he threw her away. He didn’t admit the woman as his mother.

    Being denied and humiliated, Malin’s mother cursed her son. After a moment , the luxurious was attacked by hurricane and the cursed son turned into rock.
