Name the Prophet
This prophet was exiled to Babylon as a teenager and served several kings during his long life and service to God.
Daniel
An individual who speaks on behalf of God to humanity and delivers messages, warnings, or interpretations of God's will.
Prophet
God controls all things. There is nothing that is outside of God's wise control. No one tells God what to do. No event, natural disaster, person, or even Satan can stop God's plans.
Sovereign
Who said, “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.”
Daniel
This is talking with God by confessing our sin, praising Him, thanking Him, and asking Him for our needs and desires.
Prayer
This prophet understood God's unlimited power and knowledge when he was asked by God if the dry bones could live by responding, "Sovereign Lord, you alone know".
Ezekiel
To be sorry for sin, ask God for His forgiveness, then turn away from sin to do what pleases God.
Repent
God cannot ignore sin. Every penalty with be fair and right and God does not show favoritism. His decisions are always based in His righteous character.
Just
Who said, "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendago
This is everything in thought, word, and deed that is contrary to the will of God.
Sin
This prophet served as cupbearer to Persian king Artaxerxes. Appointed as governor of Judah, he led God's people to rebuild Jerusalem's wall.
Nehemiah
This means to be set apart for use by God.
Holy
There was never a time when God did not exist. God made everything and everything comes from God. He spoke and all things came into existence.
Creator
Who said, " For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Mordecai
God's powerful kindness poured out on the undeserving.
Grace
This prophet called the returned exiles to rebuild the temple and remember God's promises. His book includes eight visions that he experienced in one night.
A game of chance using a small object, in Hebrew known as a pur, to make a decision by random outcome.
Casting Lots
God does not give us what our sins deserve. He restrains evil and holds back sin. He forgives and restores those who repent and turn to Him in faith.
Merciful
Who said, "Go, gather all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me... I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish."
This is the community of God's redeemed people, now and forever. The bride of Christ.
The Church
This man was priest and scribe from Aaron's lineage and led the second group of Israelite's to return to Jerusalem. He is remembered for telling God's people to rebuild the temple.
Ezra
A seven day festival celebrated by the Jewish people where they showed thankfulness for God's good gifts and lived in booths made from tree branches to remember God's faithfulness when He brought then out of Egypt and through the wilderness.
Feast of Tabernacles
God is present everywhere at all times. There is nowhere in the physical or spiritual universe where God is not.
Omnipresent
This prophet had many messages of future prophecy regarding the coming Messiah. In his book he foretold that, "See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." and "They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child."
This is God's truth, taught in words by the Holy Spirit to His prophets and apostles. It is completely true and without error.
