According to DoDI 7050.01, the purpose of this program is to provide a confidential, reliable means for individuals to report fraud, waste, abuse of authority, violations of laws, mismanagement, trafficking in persons, and leaks of classified information involving the DoD, helping detect and prevent threats to public health and safety.
