What are three ways your immune system works to keep you healthy?

1. The immune system is able to identify and tell the difference between cells that are yours and those that don’t belong in your body.

2. Your immune system mobilizes when it detects these cells and kills them.

3. Your immune system can tell when all the foreign invaders have been eliminated and stops the attack on cells.

4. Your immune system learns about invaders you’ve had contact with and develops antibodies against them.

5. Sends out these antibodies throughout the bloodstream so they are to destroy any invaders that might try to enter your body in the future.
